Marco Materazzi tells what he said to Zidane in 2006

Almost seventeen years later, Marco Materazzi's remarks against Zidane and the latter's headbutt continue to make people talk.

Almost seventeen years ago, the World Cup final between France and Italy entered into legend, with in particular the headbutt and the expulsion of Zinédine Zidane for the very last match of his career.

An epidermal reaction from the French in the heart of the extension, after insults uttered by the Italian defender Marco Materazzi.

If he has already had the opportunity to come back to this episode since, the latter once again confided in an interview with the Youtube channel Italian Football TV.

"People who live in America know that with the NBA, what we call trash-talk. My trash-talk was minimal. He told me he would give me his jersey after the game and I answered 'No, I prefer your sister'" thus confessed the ex-player of Inter Milan.

"I did not expect it, it was crazy", continues Materazzi about the headbutt received in stride, claiming to have felt "nothing" at the time. Enough to make the former Inter defender a hated character on this side of the Alps.
